Fixtures to watch out for:
Chelsea vs Norwich:
Gameweek 2, Chelsea had a home game against WBA where one could clearly see in the first half that the Blues were way out of sorts. Even with lots of possession they never threatened Foster of WBA. The mistake from Alex put WBA ahead and almost until they end of 90 mins, WBA had a chance to get something out of the match. Villa Boas had a tough win at home last time with Malouda and Anelka netting for the Blues. Torres on the other hand was good but not terrorizing the defense as he used to do when at Liverpool. This week round if at all he gets the start he will surely score. MY PREDICTION 🙂
Norwich on the other hand have got 2 points from 2 games, where their home game against Stoke they almost got their first win. You just can’t write them off. But even then, the blues will be too strong for them to cope up.
Predictions: 3-0 for Chelsea ( Torres scoring atleast 1 🙂 )
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City:
Big spenders City are sitting right on top of the league table with 2 wins in the 2 games they played. They have made their intentions clear. With some class talents they are the team to beat this season. 7 goals scored in 2 games by the big spenders, and the class of football they are displaying is pleasure to watch. Against Bolton last week they had a close call finishing 3-2. Silva, Aguero, Dzekp leading from the front, the likes of top class talent like Tevez started the game from the bench. Such is the player strenght at Manchester City.
Spurs on the other hand who just began their campaign last week at Old Trafford had a proper 3-0 bashing from the Red Devils. Harry’s men held on till 60 mins but just couldn’t manage later on. With the Luka Modric saga still continuing with Modric having made his intentions clear of leaving the club and on the contrary Harry and the Spurs chairman have denied him leaving White Hart Lane this summer, the creative midfielder is much wanted at White Hart Lane this weekend if Spurs want to get something out of the match. It surely is gonna be a cracker of a contest.
Predictions: A scoring draw.
Manchester United vs Arsenal:
The current champions have started the season with a bang. 3-0 win over Spurs last weekend and 2-1 win over WBA in the first week, they young squad of Alex Ferguson has shown some tremendous potential on the pitch delivering top notch football. Kudos to the team. Even though the team doesn’t consist of big names and even after Vidic and Ferdinand who are the heart of United defense out due to injury, the young defenders have managed it quite well I must say. The average age of the United team which played last week against Spurs was just 23 years! Ain’t that amazing?
Arsenal on the other hand have had a 2-0 loss to Liverpool on home soil. Arsene having to sell Fabregas and recently Nasri has been a huge problem for Gunners. Another thing which Arsene didn’t want was players out due to suspension. That did happen, with Gervinho and Frimpong having handed red cards in the first game week and second gameweek respectively will be missing the clash against United at Old Trafford. Wilshere on the other hand has failed to recover from his Ankle injury. Arsene yet again has to depend on some young and new talent.
Worst of worst things happening at Arsenal and it needs to be looked as to who Arsene will field at Old Trafford on Sunday. After the win against Udinese in the Champions League play off, Gunners have surely gained a lot of confidence. But will that be enough to beat the Red Devils in their own backyard? I dont think so.
Prediction: 2-1 for United.
This is going to be an amazing week of football with lots of goals to be scored for sure. Aston Villa vs Wolves, Wigan vs QPR and Swansea vs Sunderland sure to produce a lot of goals.
Enjoy the weekend with football!
Until next week.
